Hadley Solomon for SVVSD School Board During my 25 years teaching in the St. Vrain Valley School District, Hadley Solomon stood out as one of the most dedicated and compassionate parents I’ve known. She volunteered in my classroom almost every week for three years while I taught her younger three children. I saw firsthand how deeply she cared about every child’s well-being and success, always seeking ways to better support and motivate students. Hadley focused on collaboration and solutions. She brought that same thoughtful leadership to her long-time role in our school PTO, where she listened, built consensus, and worked tirelessly to improve our school community. She continued that commitment as part of the leadership team of Grassroots St. Vrain, advocating for fair and sustainable school funding. Hadley Solomon cares about schools, teachers I am a parent of a current high school student in St. Vrain Valley School District (SVVSD). I care deeply about our public schools and teachers. So does Hadley Solomon. Hadley has been an engaged and very active member of our SVVSD community for years (four kiddos will do that!). She has spent countless hours volunteering, leading and advocating for our schools — even speaking at the Capitol. We have all benefited from Hadley’s pursuit of the betterment of our SVVSD schools. I believe, like Hadley, that safety, respect and belonging are essential for learning and fostering strong communities and even our local economies. I am thrilled to cast my vote for Hadley Solomon for St. Vrain School Board District B. Our district would be lucky to have her.

Supporting a new generation of leaders As we anticipate ballots arriving soon in our mailboxes (thank you Colorado for our vote by mail system) I’ve been asked by many voters which candidates I support. For those who care, these are candidates for whom I am voting. Jake Marsing is my top candidate in the crowded “at large” race. Jake is unusually well-qualified and ready to serve on Longmont’s City Council. Jake is smart, understands the issues, and has advanced an important set of priorities. Shakeel Dalal is my candidate for mayor. Shakeel has demonstrated his willingness to listen, learn, lead and serve. If voters want to elect someone of high character, high energy and high IQ, he should be their candidate as well. Hadley Solomon is running in a contested race for the SVVSD board of education. Hadley is worthy of support from the entire community. If you appreciate quality candidates and quality education, vote for Hadley Solomon. Although I do not live in Ward 2, I hope voters in Ward 2 elect Matthew Popkin to serve a full term. Matthew brings high energy, serious curiosity, and a grasp of the issues with which the next Council will grapple.

Babbs and Solomon for school board Colorado St. Vrain Valley School Board voters, please keep Meosha Babbs on the School Board and add Hadley Solomon! We have a wonderful public school system and want to keep it that way. Both of these candidates are very well informed. They are looking for ways to improve the system and build on what is already working. We are more financially stable than some districts because people like Meosha Babbs worked to put in place good bond issues and kept them in place. At the same time our teachers and students are valued and are a priority for funding. Longmont voters, please Vote for Susie Hidalgo-Fahring for mayor! Longmont deserves a mayor who listens, leads with compassion and puts people first. Susie’s focus is for Longmont to have safe, healthy and thriving neighborhoods and small businesses. During her time on Longmont City Council, Susie helped us get through and recover from the pandemic. Be sure to vote for all these good people!

Hadley Solomon for school board This week I had the opportunity to hear Hadley Solomon detail her vision for our school district. Hadley is a candidate for the St. Vrain Valley School District board. The past eight years I have worked as a UNC supervisor of student teachers and been privileged to visit nearly all SVVSD elementary schools. I believe Hadley’s priorities are well aligned with our community schools. Hadley’s platform includes four pillars: academic excellence with a focus on early childhood education where SVVSD provides educators with tools that support each child’s success in our “destination district.” She emphasizes safe schools where every student feels respected. Hadley spoke to the importance of having pathways to opportunity for diverse learners where SVVSD continues to provide alternative paths to success. Finally, Hadley addressed fiscal responsibility where trust is reestablished with community members via transparency. Ms. Solomon believes “schools are the anchors of our community.” She has volunteered in her four children’s elementary, middle, and high schools. She has developed a keen understanding of the necessity to adapt to changing demographics of our sizable district and the need to make informed decisions. I encourage you to vote for Hadley Solomon as our newest SVVSD school board member.

I send my kids to school each day expecting they will be safe as they’re learning and building relationships. Safety is more than locked doors. It also includes safe transportation, mental health support and an environment where students feel respected. I support Hadley Solomon for the St. Vrain Valley School Board because she puts student well-being at the center of her platform. She understands that learning happens only when children feel secure. She will prioritize clear policies and funding that protect physical safety and emotional health. That includes appropriate staffing, reliable communication with families, and partnerships with local agencies that strengthen community support. Hadley has raised four children in St. Vrain Valley schools. She knows what it means to trust the district with their safety. That perspective matters when decisions about resources and priorities are on the table. I believe Hadley will be a steady voice for safe schools, combining fiscal responsibility with care for the whole student. With her leadership, families can feel confident that schools will remain safe places for learning, growth and opportunity.

Hadley Solomon takes time to listen to concerns My family has deep ties to the St. Vrain Valley School District. My mother was a constant volunteer and my father, Jim Moulton, taught elementary through AP high school physics during his tenure. Thanks to SVVSD, my siblings and I earned full scholarships to college — one graduated from West Point, two completed graduate school. Now that I’m involved in my children’s schools, I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Hadley Solomon. I was impressed with the depth of knowledge she demonstrated about board responsibilities, and how much she cares about building on the success of the district. She took the time to listen to my concerns about protecting vulnerable kids, like kids with dyslexia, and expanding programs to serve them. We discussed how technology will affect kids’ education and how it will affect their career prospects. She understands nurturing a culture of inclusion that supports all students and teachers. She has a long record of volunteering her time and serving on committees that guide district work and keep schools funded. She has demonstrated her skills as a leader and a listener. I have known Hadley Solomon for 15 years, as both a friend and a fellow parent. Our kids grew up together, giving me a front-row seat to her dedication. I’ve watched her raise her own accomplished children while supporting kids across our community. When it comes to our public schools, you can’t leave things to chance—our children are too important. You choose someone you can trust. I trust Hadley to be a strong, intelligent, and energetic advocate for students, families, and teachers, bringing people across our diverse district together despite differences in background and viewpoint.
