Meet Hadley Solomon – SVVSD School Board Candidate 2025
Parent, community leader, and problem-solver for the St. Vrain Valley School District
Candidate for the SVVSD School Board, District B

Why I am Running for SVVSD School Board
My name is Hadley Solomon and I am running for the St. Vrain Valley School District Board, District B. I am running because I believe that our society depends on a strong public education system that serves ALL students. My goal is to be an informed steward of this asset and to help guide the decision-making and fiscal responsibility of SVVSD.
A Little About Me
I grew up in Colorado and am a mom of four kids who have all attended SVVSD schools. Our family's experience in this district has been rewarding on every level: principally in the exceptional education our kids have received, but also in the connection it has built within our community.
My husband and I have both played an active role in our kids' education, from leading group activities with elementary school students to guest speaking in high school classes, from raising funds for music programs to chaperoning dances. And walking our kids to school or meeting parents at the bus stop for the last 16 years has been the foundation of many of our closest friendships.
Community Leadership
I have served in multiple leadership positions (including President) on the Parent Advisory Boards at Niwot Elementary and Sunset Middle School, and chaired the Annual Online Auction Committee for the Niwot High School Education Foundation for three years. I am a double alumna of the Leadership St. Vrain program, and I served as President of the Grassroots St. Vrain board for two years, helping to educate our community on the complexity of education funding in Colorado. In that role I held a seat on the successful Bond issue campaign committee in the 2016 election and advocated with legislators at the Capital for fair and equitable education funding for school districts across the state.
A Partner in Leadership
Our district is entering an exciting new chapter with a new superintendent at the helm. The board's most critical responsibility is to forge a strong, collaborative partnership with our new leader, providing the support, strategic guidance, and clear-eyed accountability necessary to build on our district’s success. My experience in community leadership and business problem-solving has prepared me to be a constructive and effective partner in this essential work from day one.
Professional Experience
I have a BA in Journalism from the University of Arizona and have led a varied career with a common thread: solving problems. After working in corporate travel, executing programs across 40 countries for Fortune 500 companies, I returned to Colorado to start a career in Business Process Engineering and Consulting, applying my communication and analytical skills to designing more efficient ways for companies in the Telecommunications and Technology industries to optimize their businesses. I currently consult with Technology and Climate & Sustainability companies, helping them grow and build effective, efficient teams.
"I believe that schools are the anchors of our communities, a point of pride not just for the families with school-age children, but for all of us."
Why Schools Matter
I believe that schools are the anchors of our communities, a point of pride not just for the families with school-age children, but for all of us who hear the happy squeals of children on a safe, beautiful playground, or slow down in a school zone as kids walk their bikes across the road, or hear the marching band practicing on Wednesday nights, or buy a coffee from the high school barista on a Saturday morning. We all contribute to these students' success through our support, engagement and investment, and in return, we enjoy a safe, positive community with a common interest.
