Meet Hadley Solomon – SVVSD School Board Candidate 2025
Parent, community leader, and problem-solver for the St. Vrain Valley School District
Candidate for the SVVSD School Board, District B
Why I am Running for SVVSD School Board
My name is Hadley Solomon and I am running for the St. Vrain Valley School District Board, District B seat. I believe strong public schools are the heart of a strong community. When schools are safe, well-funded, and welcoming, our neighborhoods thrive and every child has the chance to succeed. As a board member, I will make sure every student has the chance to succeed, every teacher has support, and every family feels proud of our schools.
A Little About Me
I grew up in Colorado and I am a mom of four kids who have all attended SVVSD schools. Our family has benefited from the strong education our kids received and the community connections we have built. For 16 years, my husband and I have been active partners in our kids’ schools, from leading activities and guest speaking in classes to raising funds for music and chaperoning dances.
Community Leadership
I have served as President of Parent Advisory Boards and Grassroots St. Vrain, where I worked to strengthen family partnerships and advocated for fair funding for our public schools. I also worked to pass the 2016 bond and spoke at the Capitol to push for fair funding for Colorado students.
A Partner in Leadership
Our district is starting a new chapter with a new superintendent. The board’s role is to build a strong partnership with this leader, offering support, guidance, and accountability. My experience as a community leader and problem-solver prepares me to be an effective partner in this work from day one.
Professional Experience
I studied journalism at the University of Arizona and built a career solving problems. Today, I help companies grow strong, effective teams. I will bring these same problem-solving and communication skills to support our schools.
"I have a lifelong belief that education can change lives. It is the great equalizer, giving every child the foundation to think critically, build a good life, and connect with others."
Why Schools Matter
I believe schools are the anchors of our communities, a point of pride for every one of us. Whether it’s kids on the playground, the marching band practicing at night, or students working at local coffee shops, schools connect us. When we support our schools, we build safe, positive, and thriving communities for everyone.
